Casa do Conto, a.k.a. “House of Tales”, located in Porto, Portugal, truly embodies a life of its own. This 19th-century building has been undergoing years of rehabilitation and after surviving through a fire in the midst of renovation, architect group Peidra Liquida and design firm R2 Design have seen to it that the house rebirths the beauty it once evoked. The result is astounding, with engraved low relief texts in stone ceilings covering 6 of the most exclusive rooms. The stories was a collaborative effort of 6 authors and architects that were connected to the city and the building. Each one tells the story of the process of how the room came to be.
