I had to post my friend Ursula who runs Pepper Press today. Not only does she have a wonderful personality, but she’s starting to make her mark as a letterpress stationary designer with her simple and well crafted cards. Pepper Press has a sense of femininity without the fluff and her cards always feel like they’re meant for those of you that want to say something special without overdoing it. I just saw some of her new cards today and wanted to share. Thanks Ursula!!
Cooper-Hewitt is now showing an exhibition on graphic design with pieces from 2000 and how it has influenced all our visual mediums today – ranging from print, digital and film. Over on Governors Island, its a nice way to see some good design and get a nice ferry ride out of it!
It this doesn’t inspire you to take out your old ink and paper that’s been covered in dust, I don’t know what will. A series of 10 stamps called “Great British Fashion Stamp Set” have been inspired by fashion design houses like Vivienne Westwood, Paul Smith, Alexander McQueen and Hardy Amies that can be purchased online at Royal Mail. Everything from the exterior box to the actual blocks themselves has been thoughtfully designed and produced. Gorge~
